SEPTEMBER AT PRISON PROJECT, SO FAR.
It is only September 11.
Already this month:
👥 1,471 unique visitors reached PrisonProject.net in just the first five days of September.
📄 They viewed 2,689 pages of information, resources, case work, attorney information and advocacy content.
🤝 We moved forward relationships with at least 7 organizations and professional groups working in reentry, women's prisons, legal advocacy, journalism and family support.
🌎 Our Resource Directory gained its first confirmed out-of-state pilot contributor organization, helping us build toward a living national resource network.
⚖️ We advanced work on at least 5 individual case and advocacy matters.
🔎 A Gordon County public-records request advanced to the production and fee stage, while additional government-records investigations are being developed.
📰 We published the first issue of Prison Project Weekly.
✍️ We launched a new system for bringing more incarcerated voices and prison journalism to PrisonProject.net.
⚖️ We completed a new Georgia Prison ADA Litigation Intelligence Pack for attorney and civil-rights research, including a two-page litigation desk sheet.
🤝 We added a new Prison Project outreach and sales partner and continued building our attorney network.
🧠 Behind all of that, 69 research, case, relationship and operational records were updated in our internal knowledge system this month alone.
And we are only getting started.
PrisonProject.net is becoming more than a website.
It is becoming an infrastructure for families, incarcerated people, advocates, attorneys, journalists and organizations who are trying to understand the system, document what is happening and do something useful about it.
September isn't over yet.
